The Itinerary - 8 Days, 7 Nights
Touch down Galapagos’ main Airport Baltra (GPS)
You’ll be picked up from the only flight in from Quito, Ecuador around midday and dropped off on the boat.
If you fly in early, then we will meet at the Baltra airport at 1pm on March 14th
Then sail away to North Seymour island!
DAY 1 - Arrival Day In Baltra
Today’s adventure consists of Lobos islands, Kicker rock and Brujo Hill
We will embark on an ecological panga ride, go snorkelling and also go hiking.
Animals to see: Sea Lions, Sting rays, black tip sharks, blue footed boobies, turtles.
Overnight sail to Espanola.
DAY 2 - Sail to san Cristobal island
On Española Island, you can see the world's only nesting colony of Waved Albatrosses performing their unique mating dances, alongside vibrant red-and-green "Christmas Iguanas" basking on the rocks. The island also features a dramatic ocean blowhole that shoots water high into the air, white-sand beaches covered in large sea lion colonies, and shallow waters filled with sea turtles and tropical fish for snorkelers.
Day 3 – Espanola Island
On Floreana Island, you can see vibrant pink flamingos wading through a saltwater lagoon and green sea turtles nesting on the beaches at Cormorant Point. Visitors can also explore the historic 18th-century wooden mail barrel at Post Office Bay, snorkel with sharks and sea lions inside the volcanic crater of the Devil's Crown, and hike to pirate caves hidden in the lush highlands.
In the water we’ll snorkel with Golden rays, sting rays, white tip sharks, and seat turtles
Day 4 – Floreana Island
On Santa Cruz Island, you can see giant Galapagos tortoises roaming in their natural habitat at the highland ranches and swimming marine iguanas basking on the white sands of Tortuga Bay. In the water, you can swim with white-tip reef sharks, playful sea lions, and golden rays glinting through the clear waters of Las Grietas and Punta Estrada.
Day 5 – Santa Cruz Island
On Santa Fe Island, you can see the rare, pale-yellow Santa Fe land iguanas that live nowhere else on Earth, hanging around massive opuntia cactus trees that grow as tall as buildings. In the water, you can swim with a huge, playful colony of Galapagos sea lions in the turquoise bay, alongside gliding sea turtles, spotted eagle rays, and harmless white-tip reef sharks resting on the sandy bottom. Maybe a chance to see the elusive Galapagos shark.
Day 6 – Santa Fe
On Santiago Island, you can see fur seals and sea lions lounging inside deep basalt grottos at Puerto Egas, alongside bright orange Sally Lightfoot crabs skittering across the black lava rock. You can also explore the massive, swirling Pahoehoe lava fields at Sullivan Bay and spot Galapagos hawks, Darwin's finches, and the occasional Galapagos penguin hunting along the rocky coastline.
Day 7 – Santiago Island
Today we will touch down on land at 8:30am for you to have breakfast and depart at the airport or stay longer in the Galapagos if you so choose.
Day 8 – Return to Baltra
Here is the travel map of where we will go and the activities we will do each day.
Life aboard a Galapagos Nemo III cruise
Your time aboard the Nemo III will be an authentic sailing experience, with comfortable double cabins. The boat also offers several social areas, perfect for getting to know your fellow Adventure More travellers and the six crew members. Throughout your cruise, enjoy three catered meals, plus snacks, created from local recipes and fresh ingredients each day.
Between meals, unwind with a soak in the Jacuzzi, which is located on the main deck. When you are ready for a break from the sun, retreat to the air conditioned interior, where a lounge full of cozy seating invites you to settle in and share stories of the day’s adventures. Whatever space you are in, the Nemo III invites you to make yourself at home, so prop your feet up, ask the ship’s barman for a sundowner and savour the moment.
Excursions from your Nemo III Galapagos cruise
Though the Nemo III may tempt you to relax onboard all day, you are likely traveling to Galapagos Islands to meet the area’s famed wildlife. The Southern route through the islands, features plentiful opportunities to snorkel, hike, birdwatch, and kayak while searching for the native and endemic species that call the islands home.
Create the story of a lifetime by snorkeling with sea lions and fur seals during a stop at Santiago Island. Deepwater snorkeling at Gardner Bay on Española Island offers a rare chance to see sea turtles and rays. Keep your camera close at hand during a visit to Santa Cruz Island because you will not want to miss an opportunity to snap a photo of the giant tortoises.
Exemplary service aboard your Nemo III Galapagos Cruise
The Nemo III sailing vessel’s team is comprised of industry veterans with the know-how and experience to create safe, enjoyable, and engaging cruises. Though the Nemo III may seem at first glance to be less opulent than a luxury yacht, the friendly and welcoming staff go the extra mile to ensure you have the trip of a lifetime. Along the way, you will be escorted by a professional, English-speaking naturist guide who will provide expert knowledge on the wildlife and history of the region.
